Fundraisers

How do we manage to provide all of these enrichment opportunities to our children?  We pride ourselves on the fact that we do not ask our children to go door-to-door selling candy, magazines, etc.  We have established long-term, reliable fundraisers that have received excellent support.  We hope you will help us continue them by participating in them and helping on committees.   Our successful fundraising program enables us to offer many special enrichment activities for students, plus some that are just plain fun!  
  • All School Art Project Our children design a piece of artwork in October.  It is then sent to a company that reproduces their art onto various items that you can purchase in time for the holidays.  The committee coordinates the project with the teachers, then organizes the sale and distribution of the purchased items.
  • Bobcat Sportswear This committee organizes the sale and distribution of items featuring our school mascot.
  • Book Fair  Each year in February we host a Scholastic book fair during our Spring Parent Teacher Conferences.  Our school receives money and/or credit in books (for the library).  This committee coordinates book fair volunteers, sets up/takes down in the gym, and tallies the money.
  • Entertainment Books  This is a book of coupons and discounts from local businesses, plus some in WI and the nation.  The school receives a bonus check based on how many books we sell, and we have had great success with it.  The committee coordinates the publicity, collects and tallies the checks and leftover books.
  • LidsNLabels  All year we collect lids and labels from certain products and turn them in to various companies for cash!
  • Market Day  This is an all year food sales program where the PTO receives at least a 10% profit on each sale.  It is our best fundraiser!  Product brochures are sent home with students, or orders may be placed online.   All orders are delivered to school once a month on a designated day.  From 4-6pm on delivery day, this committee sets up tables in the cafeteria, checks orders, and managers the pickup process.  The food quality is excellent and our school benefits.  Everybody wins!  Email bkemarketday@gmail.com for more information.
  • School Supply Boxes  These boxes are filled with everything your child needs to start the school year.  The teachers provide the committee with their school supply list.  In May, we organize the sale, the company fills the boxes, and we set up a pick-up time for the families in August.
  • My Coke Rewards Drink Coca-Cola products, bring in the twist-off caps, and deposit them in the 2 foot high Coca-Cola bottle (in the main lobby of the school directly to the left of the wood bench).  You can also find these points printed on the inside of 12-packs, 20-packs and 24-packs.  We will enter them onto the mycokerewards.com website and we can get free things for the school ranging from educational aids, sports equipment, books, etc.  Email strass5@verizon.net for more information.
With our fundraising, we have also been able to contribute in other ways:
  • Gifts to the Classrooms and the teachers to use where they have a need in their classrooms.
  • Gifts to the School from the PTO have included playground equipment, Alpha Smart keyboards, classroom sound systems, a climbing wall, a popcorn machine, and more!
  • Safety Camp receives an annual donation from the PTO.  It's a fun way for the kids to start out their summer - safely!
